Even if you can’t attend a tradeshow in-person that is relevant to your business, you can still benefit from them:
Follow the social media accounts for a tradeshow that is relevant to your business and engage with its posts. Like, comment and share posts from the account that are relevant to your business which will help to increase your reach and and bring you to the attention of the account who is an influencer for you. This may also encourage them to follow your social media accounts in return as well as like, comment on and share your posts, bringing them to the attention of their followers who are also likely to be your target audience.
When a tradeshow is taking place, there is a great opportunity to engage with the tradeshow’s hashtag and join in the conversation around it. For instance, the Trade Drinks Expo in the UK used the hashtag #TradeDrinksExpo and you can search for this hashtag on social media platforms and follow the conversation in real time. Comment, like and share posts, using the hashtag yourself and put yourself into the conversation, increasing your reach and brand awareness.
